כי בסופו של דבר מדובר בעסקי אוויר

a bit of English

After more than 45 years in Israel I still have to admit that English – both writing and reading – comes to me easier than Hebrew. But since almost all of my professional, or at least income generating, work is in Hebrew, most of my web presences, which are rarely "personal", are in Hebrew as well.

So beyond The Boidem, and a few other old projects, most of what's here is in Hebrew, and the expectation is that the anyway seriously limited audience has no problem with that.

Be that as it may, I suppose that a bit of explanation about the other sections in this site is called for.

  • "Internet and Learning" (אינטרנט ולמידה … ומה שביניהם) is a blog I've maintained since March of 2006. It has well over 1000 posts, and has now been transferred from Blogger to this domain.
  • "On the tip of …" (על קצה ה…) is basically a blog of snippets that I collect. I guess it could be called a publicly accessible window into my own collection of notes – items I found worth taking note of, and thus remembering, as I prowl the web. It began in 2009 and ran for almost two years with numerous snippets (and an intro and/or comment from me). I've now rekindled it here.
  • "Jay returns to cyberspace" (ג'יי שב לסיברספייס) is, I guess, what used to simply be called a personal website. It has links to numerous old projects, but also articles I've published in various frameworks. I'd say it was the kitchen sink, except that that's perhaps more accurate about this site as a whole. There's quite a bit of English there, though it has to be sought out.

I never really had any expectation that I'd make a profit from any of these projects (not that I would have objected), but as I've become a pensioner the Luftmentsh title, originally used because of the "airy" and not truly graspable, quality of cyberspace has become all the more apt.
